its pretty fucking nice. ive never owned a decent digital
camera and i got this pretty cheap. its a canon ixus i zoom.
got some great features such as the istitch which lets you
stitch photos together to make awsome 360 paneramic shots.
The cam itself is alot smaller than i though but its pretty
sweet.
Now i can do my photography without having to use my non
digital huge mother fucker thing.

i would have posted some pics but the weathers shit and
theres not much to take pics of at the moment.
i did this quick try of the wide angle thing although its
not all that wide, but it seemed em together well
considering tis blowing a gail and the trees were blowing
all over the place.

wideboy

Out of the compact digitals, the Ricoh GR Digital would be
nice. It takes RAW-files and the lens is pretty sweet for a
compact WA. The best though..it takes a photo when you press
the button even if the focusing isn't ready.

Taff I was planning to make a thread about digital cameras
:)

I was looking at this bad boy, it does look like everything
I'd want at the moment, though its just a bittt to expensive
I think.

This is the one that is at the top of my list at the moment,
anyone got any comments, I don't know if there's something
I'm missing. It looks a bit dodgy from the front but seems
decent for £119.00...

I'm looking to go travelling so my budget is a bit
restricted

By the way they have the non-optical zoom of your cam on
dabs.com for cheap, I almost bought it until I realised
about the zoom.

They're great for taking pictures of graff', posing in front
of the mirror with an interesting haircut, or random
landscapes.

I bought an Olympus mju 700 cam a month or two ago, it's
been fun using it. I just take pictures of stupid, random
things. It's got the panorama thing as well but I haven't
learned how to use it yet.
Cost me about 360 euros, including the memory card.
cam

Happy photographing :)

RAW is a file format that I think is more popular with pros
than anyone else. When a camera takes a picture as a JPG,
the software inside of it is doing some automatic adjusting
types of things, like color balance for example. If you
shoot in RAW, the software inside of the camera saves the
data without adjusting anything so that you can make all the
adjustments you want from the "raw" data. Lots of people
like RAW way better than JPG because they like to have more
control and why fuck with things twice? Then again, lots of
people like JPG because it makes things easier as long as
the image is quality to begin with...it's easier to save a
shoddy photo (noisy, dark, etc) using RAW. From what I
hear, JPG is more popular with photo journalists who are on
a deadline.

Some cameras nowadays can save the same image in RAW and
JPG!

Anyhow, I would prefer to use RAW but my computer is really
too slow to open those gargantuan files with the photoshop
plugin so I do everything in JPG. For the time being.
Hopefully I can get a new computer one of these days...

Anyways hope this helps.
