It's a different matter when I'm in them.

hormons take all the action innit.

what is the meaning of "innit"?
I thought it was a shortened form of "isn't it" but that
seems wrong with something like "your mind is turned off and
hormons take all the action innit."

innit is a shorthand isn't it, but its also more than that.
its just innit, innit?

so is it sort of like when people add an obligatory
"...right?" to the end of a statement?

blablablablabla, right? = blablablablabla, innit

if so, that's annoying

with 'right' you ask a question and with 'innit' you set a
rhetoric question innit

my brain finds no results for: "set a rhetoric question"

this is far too complicated for me. I'm going to eat some
toast.

you can ask a rhetorical question using "right" too. whether
something is meant rhetorical doesn't have much to do with
wording but more with intention and how it is said.
