i would like to create some arpeggios... anyone know of any
good plug ins?

hmmm it depends

Do you mean appegios using virtual instruments? A lot of
synth vst have arpeggio functions. Also a lot of sequencers
have arpeggio MIDI plugins, ie, transforms the input before
it reaches the synth or whatever. You can have crazy fun
with those bad boys.

Its been a while since I've used them but of course in a
sequencer you can program the pattern manually, although
that's a bit of a hassle...

MIDI plugins are good as I say, you can use them live, ie
play a chord on the controller and the plugin will create a
step pattern before its sent to the VST, so you can use any
VST, even a drum sampler or something if you're feeling like
a LOON Its a versatile tool for sure. The better synth
plugins have little arpeggiators but the ones I've seen are
a bit lam-o.
