i saw squarepusher live, right, he used a laptop (so it was
a good show), would be sweet as to "borrow" that laptop.
richard uses his from time to time

What programs are these lads using ???

But you're free to pick any old threads and add new post and
they'll be discussed again. Just read the new policy thread
started today, you'll see it makes sense.

PROTOOLS is the software of choice...i know t'twin uses it
live almost exculsively...

As for Tom...his early tracks were done on a crappy sampler
triggered by a shite drum machine....Proof that kit doesn't
really matter...

p.s. all that talk about the twin making his own kit in the
early days was pure Bullshit...mostly... and SOOOOOO many
people fell for it...lol...

p.s Theres a FREE version of PROTOOLS available for MAC/PC
on digidesigns site...

Quite a big download but you can't look a gift horse in the
mouth...(unless thats how you get your sexual kicks..;) ...

jand I think you're mistaken about anyyone suing protools
live, have you ever used protools? Its a recording platform,
theres no real reason to have it in a live rig.

shite drum machine?? what are you talking about man, the
Boss dr-660 will rock the block if you know how to use it.
Yeah, I think you can get protools off the techtv site, too
(www.techtv.com). I saw this cool show on Matmos on techtv
and it was talking about how they used protools and at the
end it gave a tutorial on how to use the prog. and where to
get it. I would be interested in knowing how these
musicians perform live with a laptop, though. I mean, is
their any type of real-time tweaking program out there?? If
not, someone should make one. :D Well, I'm going to go see
Plaid live in ATL in april so if they use a laptop I'll get
to find out.
