Is that almost out of shot bit of kit the Numark mixer that
has a Kaoss pad built into it?

What exactly is the Kaoss Pad? Does it let you do stuff like
turntable scratching MIDI without the turntable?

Yeah, I have too much Korg stuff

The Kaoss Pad is an effects box which has a couple of
sampler settings. One of them can replicate scratch sounds,
but you'll need to work on it a bit.

Do you find that you very rarely use the sampler or filters
and instead use it mainly for the reverb/delays? Mine might
as well just be an echo box the way I use it :)

i really miss ahving my basement i had a a four track an old
shitty amp a sofa bed and a few old keyboards wired through
odd effects. never have i had such a creative space i wrote
loads of songs down there but when all this shit happened
with my dad i lost all my music books (of songs i'd tabed)
:( i have some of teh recordings of old stuff but i miss
having a basement where i could make noise at night (thats
when i always write)

I never use the filters, except P10 for distortion but I do
use the samplers.
My fave setting at the moment is P30 at 1,1.

Have you seen the movie Jarhead, being in the military (as
you know) makes you be in a whole other mindset.

Thanks for your service.
