Print them all off Arf and imagine you're a British schoolboy in the
late 70s / early 80s.

Just look at the drama in this one from set 2.

set 1 had far too many anomalies and was inconsistant. the
usual pattern was fear factor=physical strength-10

By fruity, do you mean they actually smell of fresh picked
oranges and kumquats?

Or is it a euphamism for rancid? :D

Ha! I never realised that.

Why has "Death" only got a killing power of 95? He IS death.
Surely he can decide wether you die or not, it's not up to
chance. Useless.

only 1 card can beat him, and even then you have to choose
physical strength. but overall, with set 2 you knew where
you were, you knew the odds of winning with each card and
you knew the category to pick. set 1 was rather arbitary to
say the least.

you knew because of the coded scratches on the top-back of
each card.

The funniest farts are those little squealing ones that are
very high pitched.

But there is nothing quite like letting loose a really
frumpy bass cheese.

These old ones are so much better than modern ones. I'd
rather have something that looks like 70s horror C-movie
artwork than photos of cars I'll never own, along with
wildly inaccurate performance "statistics" as the criteria
you pick.

I must admit though, skim reading the page, I mistook this
for a "Faggot".

It's as if someone who doesn't really understand what a
flanger should sound like/how they work has knocked one up
in Reaktor and is impressed that it does somehow alter the
audio. It's just that it does it in a particularly subtle,
useless way.

Don't get me wrong; I love floops. I've gone back to using
it as my main sequencer. I was just taking the piss out of
the the things a lot of the tracks people describe as
"obviously made in fruity loops" use. I made the jibe
hesitantly as I know that a lot of people cite those sort of
tracks and those sort of beginners errors as somehow
something inherent in all music made in Fruityloops.
I think the demo track "clever" sticks 2 fingers up to them
quite effectively.

Genius work with the Fruity TOP Trumps. I have used the
Flangus for its Stereo panning effect, but not so much the
actual Flange sound, which just sounds like... bog standard
flange, I suppose.

Yeah the panning isn't too bad, it's a bit like the old
pan-o-matic and a basic flanger combined, without the ease
of use/controllability of either.

I've just started a track using as many fruityloops cliches
as possible that I can think of and I'm ashamed to say it's
not too bad. It's sort of a minimal techno meets
filterhouse. I might vocode the vocal from Eric Prydz "Call
on me" and layer it into this and then share the thing as
"Daft Punk - Call on me - remix super rare unreleased studio
demo bootleg soundboard recording.mp3" on slsk. Or BIYC.
Whichever.
