just got back from the most amazing weekend of my life,
namely having an amazing time at the coachella festival in
indio, california.

basically, daft punk was the most amazing live set of
anything i have ever seen. ever. and i need to hear it
again.

so if anyone has this set or can point me to it, i will
fellatiate you until sun up.

I just got done watching Teh Coachella dvd.
It was a best of Coachella, the festival looks amazingly
fun.
The clip i really wanted to see the most was teh []pusher.
They shot a kid wearing a white Aphex Twins t-shirt then
only about a 45 second clip of Tom :(. Playing some hard
D&B, bobbing his head a bit, throwing two bottles of water
into the crowd then walking off stage. I was expecting the
clip (like the rest of them) to be roughly 4-5 minutes.

Hedphikkerr>tool ? madonna ? depeche mode ?

tool - cried through the majority of the set

depeche mode - skipped to ensure good spots of daft

madonna - booed before she ever got on stage

sigur ros - raped by kanye west

massive attack - vicondinny awesomeness

any more requests?

if you are a human being you would enjoy that set

utterly unbelievable, the beat didnt let up for the entire
set, and they twisted their tracks so hard.

plus i was rolling, as was nearly 75% of the 4 thousand (at
least) thick audience

moment.... maybe they'll change their minds at gunpoint....

tool is insanely emotional for me cause it really represents
an important part of my life, and just screaming the words
along with maynard was too much.

i found some vids on youtube which have me shaking as i
watch them.

intro and robot rock

the mother fucking space ship!!

oh yeah cut up with da funk. yeah, my fucking favorite pa...

actually, ive been meaing to research, how often to daft
punk play live? it doesnt strike me as very often, because
the spaceship sure must take alot for them to carry around.

then again, thayre robots, they can do anything.

[ps one of the oddest and most amazing things about the show
was the second we saw the robots in their spaceship, i
immediately recognized it. i have no idea how, but i knew id
seen it before, and so had the three of my friends who i was
with. fucking weird. and amazing.]

i actually dont yet, i abstained from downloading it before
i saw them so i could hear the new tunes live for the first
time, and since im a poor (and after coachella, HELLLLLAA
poor) college student, i havent had the chance to buy it
yet.

but the two new tracks they played were friggin tight, the
heaviest tool since undertow i think.

its like $11.00 get it, the package is sooooo sexy

you dont have a setlist for the show they played do you ?

yeah i guess you could say some of the new songs are the
heaviest since undertow, its very nice indeed

"the pot" is wierd.

i could recite the setlist for you if i could get daft punk
out of my head.

it was basically all their hits, plus the new tracks; sober,
46 & two, aenima, lateralus, the patient... thats all im
coming up with, im prolly forgetting whatever they played
from opiate and the new tracks.

maynard spent alot of time talking with the audience, which
was pretty great cuz last time i saw them the crowd was
pretty shitty.

maynard: "yeah, we have a new album coming out tomorrow at
midnight, but i know all you fuckers already downloaded it!"

No, I don't think they play live much.

The lighting reminds me of Gary Numan's Living Ornaments
stage.

I REALLY want this set to d/l if I can. If anyone finds
anything, pleease post immediately.

their first show in SIX YEARS!! and they fucking rocked it
like they hadnt is six years!

also, i was the first and last person to see tool, as i saw
their last show for the lateralus tour, and this was the
first of the new one.

figured id give this a bump.

has anyone found a good quality audio recording of the daft
punk set?

thru my minimal resources i have only found a video of most
of the set, and the bass is so distorted it can be a trial
to watch.

Mmm, I found a few vids on YouTube which I didn't were too
bad. I might record them to mp3 and upload them some time.

I hope DP release another live album. Alive 1997 just rocks.

wha? they didnt play a single new track, it was just the
best mashup of every one of their album tracks.

or are you one of those people who havent listened past
homework? :P

but indeed, the set WAS utterly amazing. i was watching more
vids last night, and even though i was just sitting in my
chair, my heart rate jumped.

here it is!

the entire set from coachella 2006!!!

damn good sound quality too, not a soundboard, but hearing
slight crowd noise makes it all the better.

holy shit is this good.

it appears that this version has the same source as the one
hephukkerr's posted. that one could be a re-encoded version
of this one. it sounds like it, anyway.
