As a long term Aphex fan, from SAW 85-92, I can say, from a position of authority, that these two tracks represent the culmination of his work, ideas, exploration and experimentation. In them we can find distilled all the melancholy, the adventure, the pioneerism and sonic buggery that was only hinted at in his previous catalogue. And apparently there's a face in Smojphace, but even that doesn't undermine the fact that these two tracks are the best bits of music ever made. Apart from Bonus High Frequency noises which was the previous benchmark. |

i've been a fan of his less time, probably why i don't get the beauty of these two tracks just yet. i started to appreciate that high frequncy bonus track though so i think im close to getting the brilliance of ktpas. yay! |
