Is µ-ziq better than Squarepusher?

Yes, probably he is. I think Squarepusher is often too much
"jazzy" while Paradinas music varied more.

What do you think?

ok, come on woofer. think about it for a minute...

...does it really matter? or are you making wallpaper out of
top100 lists?

nah.
i dunno, for me, squarepushers albums kinda lack, without a
good song or two, but its those awesome songs that make him
better than mr p ... imho

you can't really say what's better or worse. maybe what you
like better :)

anyway, i prefer squarepusher. just suits ny taste better.
and while tom is maturing in his music, paradinas is going
more childish it seems. and im not so fond of childish beatz
:)

i reckon µ-ziq is better, squarepusher's jazz stuff annoys
µe soµetiµes.

I agree with tolstoyed here.

I wouldn't really know if Tom is better than Mike. I
personally find both of them, two very talented artists for
my taste.

Perhaps I've got more favourite tracks by µ than [],
though.

having seen both live twice, sqaurepusher is a much better
performer, i found muziq to be a little uninspired. however
for music both are pretty damn decent. i vote 'pusher tho,
cos Tundra 4 is just, well amazing.

I think they're both a moody pair of bastards. Both release
too much guff. Both did super debut albums then a lot of the
same but worse. I own more records by u-ziq. I probably
listened more to u-ziq. Some squarepusher is unlistenable,
some u-ziq is just bad. u-ziq did "Bantha Tracks" which i
really like, Tang n Vectif is awesome, Lunatic Harness is
great too. Pusher's "Feed me weird things" is great, ... I
like a couple of tracks on Ultravisitor. I am going to say I
prefer u-ziq.

I prefer Squarepusher, hes got a better ratio of good to bad
tracks and hes great live, where as Mike is a boring DJ and
only fun 'live' cause he has some great tracks for big sound
systems

I haven't been to an electronica gig yet, what does
Squarepusher do as a DJ that's interesting? (for
example)...

Just curious :)

He is really good at setting the atmosphere but not making
it boring.
Plus when he plays bass live to thats song off DO YOU KNOW
SQUAREPUSHER it's fucking crazy entertaining.

He has a good interaction going on, I enjoyed it heaps.

He epileptics fits on his bass and fiddles with a huge rack
of equipment and shouts and makes you wonder if youre dead.
he must be one of the most involved live performers in
electronic music

no, some matters surpass personal taste. kinda like the
hip-waiste ratio for women. that shit is built-in in
everybody's brain. that has nothing to do with personal
taste. people who like muziq more than the square are
mistakes of nature.

It's hard to compare the artists when they've both been
around for a while and both evolved in style. I think
µ-Ziq's early releases are better than Squarepusher's early
releases, but Squarepusher's more recent stuff is better
than µ-Ziq's. Although both artists' latest albums have
been pretty disappointing. So overall I would say µ-Ziq is
better.

µ-Ziq, Mike, is really just a playboy label owner now. Who
knows what 'pusher is up to. He really gets into his music.
I'll go with Jenkinson.

Squarepusher's including jazz.

could you imagine mikep producing something like venus no.
17. dont get me wrong im a bg fan of his... just think tom

Well if youre implying that squarepusher is more consistent
in regards to the quality of his music, uh, I dont know.
Certainly hes had as man foul up as µ-ziq, however Tom can
play actual instruments, and really well too.
