The radiant abyss track is pretty cool in a quirky way but I
really dont like the section from 1.30 to about 2.10

i was just thinking you could get some quite Autechre'y
things going on using a similar approach. I'll have a go.
I'm a bit of an ignoramus when it comes to drum machines.

SM Pennyworth and Horsefactory = xlnt

Horsefactry your track Cups has a really nasty digital
glitch all through it, if its on purpose it sounds horrible
and if its by mistake it sounds horrible

The track was me trying out a much more bassey, rounded
sound. that bit from 1:30 bit was my attempt at a sort of
cannibal ox type thing, do you listen to much hip hop? Check
out 187, that might be more up your alley. I've made better
tracks than these now anyway, but they're not online yet.

offline Dannn_ from United Kingdom on 2006-04-20 17:20 [#01883634]

I sure do listen to much hiphop sir matt, but I happen to
not like def jux much apart from RJD2. I used to like co
flow but I dunno, El P doesnt really get through to me
anymore. So chalk it up to that.

offline matt_juice from London (United Kingdom) on 2006-04-20 17:32 [#01883637]
Points: 49 Status: Regular

i'd agree that def jux isn't what it used to be, but for me
Cannibal Ox - The Cold Vein is a complete classic. Out of
interest, what's your top 5 (or whatever) hip hop records?

ah bollock, i've just had a listen and it seems the tracks
on that pipex webspace have somehow gone rotten, i'll have
to re-upload. matt_juice your radiant abyss track starts out
really well, it reminds me of global goon a lot - i thought
it went a bit downhill throughout, overall a decent track
though.

due to trojans bit-napping the original file ---- pleiades
sounds a lot more polished

fah: powerfull late ae-ish style. i like it except the
ending.

ambsace: nice softronics. like a life transition tune. its
like ive heard that tune before. beautiful melancholy.

badderer: hahaha ace!

biggiesmartypants: well done!

kapten h: great melodies. i like it mellow and well
constructed.

dan p: lovely!

gaympakt: youre the devil

vlari: im hungry.

feather in a cap: for example.

sam desborough: presquepic. i love the feeling.

woofy: old style dark electronics. nice.

pedro: mas alla de las montañas...

lupus wonderboy: not my thing.

oxygenfad: the big moment was too short. stoped when i was
beginnig to enjoy.

venetian: as shit as usual.

sadist: one of the most well produced tracks posted. really
amazing sounding, althought, imo, it lacks of structure and
its a bit too long... i have fully enjoyed it anyway. ace!

dynamic statics: simple but effective.

taffmonster: well done mate. one of my favourites. i love
the flowing of the track, drums + melody.

yann g: another lovely fairytale. thats what i like,
everything in his right place, naïf melody, pure fantasy,
mummy.

elektrobi: yeah! bizarre electro (nica) a la doyobi or wevie
stonder. original sounding and progression of the track.
fav+

juice by harry: good ideas there, specially in sounding. i
miss some consistence (if the word exist at all...).

evils: fairytales fairytales! happyness without
pretentions... nice! reminds me of cylob, dunno why... i
love it!

stephano: not my thing. interesting at the beginning but too
much for a whole track...

thank you, ecna!
for listening, for the nice words, for knowing who i am.

yes, i make music, but just for not becoming mad or
something. i know my sounds is standard fruity shit, but
what i enjoy is playing with them, constructing the
structure. trying to find a good sound bores me, but im on
the way!

time to time...

what about you? why dont you post your "best" track?

and: i fucking love that gif!!!
