it's a made-up holiday that mainly Americans like to celebrate the existence of pot on. so in a way it's like how almost every other holiday is a celebration of alcohol, but in this case in a more blatant way. |

i prefer to celebrate 4/20 on 4/21 eve, a weekend. people in the office here tend to frown on being stoned at work. when i was a lad in college, we didn't have 4/20 at all, we only had hash wednesday, which was sometime in the spring, the memories are a little cloudy. we'd all gather on the quad and talk about smoking pot. if you tried to light up the cops would drag you away... |
