As a quick reminder... I'd like to mention that you can
indeed use your laptop as a secondary monitor via this app

And... if you want to use both your desktop's mice and
keyboard with your laptop/other computer, then an open
source app named synergy is in order, which you can get here

You can also enjoy the app named FX Teleport which
enables you to use your laptops' CPU power in-cordination
for any given VST which you give it.
