Just got this. If I were, say, making a quick two frame
animation, how do I save it as a .gif file. The way they
have it is confusing for some reason.

File > Save Optimized as

"Images only (*.gif)"

there should be a 'save for web' option in the file menu I
believe

The only options at save optimized are .html and .jpg

No Save For Web. :(

Make sure your "Optimize" pallate is visible:

[ Window > Show Optimize ]

Then choose "gif" as the output format on that pallate.

Before doing that "Save as" there's a window called
"Optimise", in there, in "Settings" choose one of the Gif
settings. Then go back to Save for Web and you'll have the
gif option.
