in the past i though they were kinda cool but with
absolution they did go fucking commercial shitty music,

but aphex played some vocals of them in a set probably just
to piss of the public:)-

they really do seem to be trying too hard to be radiohead to
me.

then again, most of those bands seem like that nowadays.
where had the originality gone?

hence the qualifier "seem to be"

im not saying they are, thats just what it looks like from
my end. and half of art is how the audience percieves it.

it's just quite lame : everytime a rock band goes electronic
there's this "oh no" thing. let them be.

i can't catch your theory ;] but i like lots of radiohead
tracks and like, like , 3 tracks by muse. i repeat: what's
wrong in trying something different. you can't be too sure
if it's only a clever marketing move or just ....development
;]

Even if it is marketing...

I don't understand what peoples big deals are about people
trying to make money and market themselves. If you were
trying to sell a product, you would be looking for a good
way to market it. Shit. Its how capitalism works. Seriously.

Who the fuck cares. People need to relax insead of jumping
on the first thing that they see and complaining about it.

i dunno about the radiohead rip off thing, they're a band on
their own. anyhoo seems natural to explore into electronics,
like bloodhound gang did it too :)

"If you were
trying to sell a product, you would be looking for a good
way to market it."

true, unless you act honest and devoted to something [e.g.
yorke supporting some great ideas] and then it appears you
are full of shit, just want to sell another album and
cheated on many people who believed you and bought your
albums.

I don't have a problem with that cause "lyrics" or "message"
doesn't have an effect on me, either it's muse or radiohead.
i focus on music, sounds and vocal is like another
instrument to me.

So let them connect their guitars to whatever they like.

You know what they look like in those pics? Like the kids at
the end of a party who come up and want to play on your
groovebox and you give them a basic explanation/intro to it
and let them have a go and you can see their faces light up
in a mixture of wonder and utter lack of comprehension as
their noodlings undeniably make sounds, but not anything
that could really be described as proper music.

You can practically hear one asking the other, "What do you
reckon this wire does?". It's endearing, but it doesn't mean
the music will be any good.

I still don't get why people are making a connection between
muse and Radiohead. People say it's the voice which, even if
it did sound like tom yorke is nothing that can be helped. I
say they share a more than passing resembelence to jeff
buckleys sound than anyone elses.

Good luck to them going electronic too, i think.

ceri, much as i think you're a great bloke, that is exactly
why people hate electronic music.
