Premiered Fri here in the states
So, ok why did they bring this back
Its ~nyeeeeh on my rating scale
not that it matters
some parts seem a little cheesy like the living skin "last
human" in the last shown episode
still love the theme track

I really enjoyed the last season and I wish Christopher
Eccleston had stayed on as The Doctor, He was the best
Doctor since Tom Baker.

i was wandering around in Cardiff when they were shooting
the 1st ep of the new series, they had bits of mannequins
and weird shit lying around in the street + i wonder wtf was
going on....Then about 6months later in the middle of summer
theres an xmas tree and loads of smashed up xmas stalls +
its like "oh must be shooting dr.who again"
I like it ... it beat other sat.nite 'entertainment' into a
cocked hat

just been reading the outlines for the episodes of the 2nd
series.. uh oh.

that git Mickey is still in there.

and my favourite companion, Sarah Jane Smith makes a brief
return, in episode 3, ofcourse with K9.

lots of Cybermen episodes (which is better than lots of
Dalek episodes, I think - Cybermen were always scarier!).

and supposedly an episode that should've been written by
Stephen Fry, which has been moved to the third series.

have you seen the new style cyber men? i think the older
ones were scarier tbh , the new ones look cumbersome and
lumbering

oh god, no, I haven't seen them. they didn't do CGI, did
they, oh please no more CGI, it makes everything look like
it's supposed to look good but then it all looks shit and as
if it's not there at all really, not like the old Dr Who
where everything might've looked like it was made during an
episode of Blue Peter but at least there was an object in a
space oh god

i thought eccleston was an alright doctor, if youd put him
20 yrs ago say, it would've been interesting, with leela or
something

Russel T. Davies thought that having that Earth-based "oh
your family misses you so much"-crap would make it more 21st
century..

I don't watch Dr Who for the fucking reality! I used to love
it when the Doctor would meet some person and say "hey, you
working as a sales executive is fine 'n all, but come with
me and sit in a Tardis wahey" and the person would go
"awright", drop everything and just go along.

and then you'd get an excellent assistent like Sarah Jane.

*sighs*

So...
What's wrong with Cardiff??
In the last ep. Dr.Hooha was like "I'm stuck in a basement
and going to die... in Cardiff?!"
Something like that
Anyways I take it the 'diff is a slum or something?
Signed,
Uninformed Yank
