this album is so fucking good and i didn't even realize in
the first few listens... rosetta stoned is so fucking
solid. it just confused the hell out of me the first
times.

why not? they're one of the best lyrical pieces i've
personally ever heard.

it's about an heavy acid trip, and it's a great story!

"me? the chosen one? they chose me? and i didn't even
graduate from fucking high school"

yeah but i can't get down singing "i think i shit the bed"
where as with tracks like the pot "you musta been highhhhhh"
its fun fun.

Its all about the albums karaoke(ability).

this album is pretty boring, i mean theres no content its
just weird sounds, thats not music!
listen to stuff like linkin park - papercut and coldplay -
the message for some REAL music with actual songwriting
involved.

i think it really works :D

all from him yelling about in the start of the trip in lipan
conjuring (getting all spiritual in a drug trip) towards
lost keys when he's all done and submitted to a hospital
(blame hofmann!) to when he's trying to recall his trip to
the land of x-files men and acid complications to the
doctor.

i like the track and all, its just at the moment i am
feeling all jump about and sing along and The Pot is really
doing that for me.

One thing of note. I love Tool, but usually thier music is
too dark for me to listen to alot, i mean you kinda have to
be in the mood. But this album is alot less "grumpy" at
least it seems it to me. Don't get me wrong i like the
"grumpyness" of Tool, but its kinda nice when its less
"grumpy".

A perfect circle were kinda the less grumpy Tool, there was
something lighter too it. not as dark which meant it was
easier to listen to for long periods of time.

Its like portishead, an amazing band but listen to em too
much and damn it gets depressing, i can't stay sombre all
that long, and this new album is alot more rocking and less
sombre in parts which i am loving

i don't really think tool is very "dark" at all, but that
maybe because i'm usually pretty pessimistic anyway.
actually, i found lateralus to be a very uplifting and
positive album. there's never been outright, pointless
negativity in their music, just some venting of issues that
doesn't by any means reflect "grumpiness" to me. just
unloading some baggage. their album covers might be black,
but their music really isn't. it's a bit mysterious, though.

oh yeah, don't get me wrong, grumpyness is probably the
wrong term. I am talking more about sound rather than
lyrical content.

nope, sorry, Vicarious is shit. Unfortunatly sounds like
they have totally gotten comftable with their technique and
style, and are scared to changed. this does suck, nothing is
new here, and most sounds old and stale, which is funny that
this is meant to be NEW.

its a shame cause it should of been good, too bad,
today-tool are shit...

FORTY SIX AND TWOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

...now that was a good song

I don't think so. They signed a 3 album contract with
Volcano. Also, the Guitar World interview with Adam
suggests otherwise.

Where are you hearing this?

10,000 Days' extremely heavy sound is "Tools version of a
blues record," Keenan says. "Even after 16 years, I'm still
hostile. There's enough out there that chaps my ass." Even
so, the band's end may be near: "I see that happening sooner
rather than later." But Keenen insists he'll stick around
long enough to attempt a bit more mischief. "I'd love to
shove a fucking grand piano out of a hotel window," he says.
"It's fucking impossible!"

it would be a shame if this was the last album, but at the
same time, if they start to suck, then it'd be better to
stop now. They're getting old, maynard will be 57 if they
take another 3 years to make the next one.

who cares. I'm eager to hear the album.

ok, so this may not be Tool's last release, i dont think its
just hype to make you want to buy it more, but seriousely
Tool cant go on forever.

Im pretty sure Maynerd hates RollingStones, Metallica and
Van Halen

Maynard said every rumor about "quitting" is complete
bullshit and that he sees himself doing this for ages to
come. So I don't know why he would contradict himself in
that quote, seems FISHY.

that equals how many days maynard's mother, judith marie
(hence "wings for marie (part 1)" and "wings (part 2)"...
are about her death.

she was in a coma or something for 27 years and just
recently past away.

very sad in my opinion.

put an end to the "eye" theme sometime soon, they are
creative, use it, use it, use it.

"the" song is on FM radio again. drives home.
