hm... i'm worried because i didn't get the blank e-mail. all i got was this one: Hi there... It's me, Glade, again. Look... We need to talk. hmm, i got 2 emails, one saying it was on and tickets will be on sale on the 16th but only to ppl on the mailing list, there will be NO tickets at all this year for ppl not on the mailing list. the second email gave me a link to a web page (the web page is encrypted, you'll need a username and password to access it even if you get the link from sumone else) where i can buy tickets 3 days before anyone else on the mailing list, ppl who bought tickets last year should get this email too. ie they're letting ppl who went last year get tickets first then a few days later anyone on the mailing list can get them. they've also changed the venue but aren't saying where to until shortly b4 the festival and they're not releasing a line up at all by the looks of it! "We’ve changed the venue and this year the music, décor, performance and general shenanigans will once again be top quality. We are planning to not release the lineups; we hope by now you trust us when we say that this year is going to be better across every genre. The crowd in the first two years has been amazing and the vibe killer. We believe by not publicising the Glade in the traditional way we can preserve this. The lineup we’ve got booked for this year will generate a lot of publicity…..so we’re keeping it quiet" i shall be getting my tickets fershuure!!! |

ticket prices have gone up quite a bit too (£98.50 + booking fee + P&P), i think they were approx £70 last year if i remember right? they give reasons for this as follows: The ticket price is a fair amount more than last year, but this is because we’ve really had to address some issues that appeared last year. There were some thefts, caused by people who’d broken in to the event and as a result we’ve had to completely review the security and stewarding arrangements. We are spending a great deal more money on making the perimeter secure through the use of steel shield fencing and a majorly increased, higher quality security presence….. Don’t worry, they won’t be in the arena any more than usual, just on patrol outside the fence. Once again we will have no corporate sponsorship at the festival and due to the extra costs the ticket price has had to be increased. All the ticket money gets spent on the festival and we have also increased our creative budgets dramatically. sounds fair to me, if it means an end to the chav scallies i saw wandering around last year looting tents. i know glastonbury put up similar fences and it worked very well. |

just a thought, i bought my ticket from warpmart last year, so i'm guessing as i didnt buy from glade direct i won't get the prioity. shit. guess i'll drop em a line before monday. |

In the Email it says "We will be publishing the website on Wednesday, 15th March at 6pm and the store will be open for ticket sales the following evening." Just make sure you are online with a credit card and you should be fine. |
