Hello. I'd like to know if there is any windows app to capture video (avi and such) from another app? i'm not talking about fraps or whatever its called cause that one can only do directx 3d games...
thankful for any help.

It is possible, I just can't find a decent program that also happens to be free.
You could use a program like this one to do it (though, you'll have to either find another program that happens to be completely free/cracked because this one puts marks through your video). You just have to make sure what ever you use to play the video with, you turn off any hardware overlay or acceleration or it'll come up blank. Also, this program doesn't seem to do mixer sound, only mic, so if you want sound, maybe run a line between the two. Other than that, it seems fine - costs 25USD to register.
