Keep a diary of sleep. As soon as you wake up and remember the dream, write it down.

I sometimes wake up holding a bloody knife or baseball bat, but I just assume someone else put it there to frame me. I rarely murder.

I used to wake up with cuts and stuff on myself. The weirdest was when I nail marks down the middle of my back and the way they ran there was no way I could have done it to myself, but we have no pets and I hadn't been out the night before.

maybe the neighborhood cats have found a way into your house...and try to kill you in your sleep..hmm imagine waking up in the middle of the night to find 20 cats in your room ...all bent on killing you
well..maybe they're not trying to kill you.. do you work at a fish market or something? maybe all the local cats gather in your room at night to lick you...and scratch you when you unconsiously try to swat them away or roll on top of them...just a thought
