Phobiazero: how about a "Soulseek handle" box in user profiles like AIM screen name or ICQ number? I know a lot of the folks here use Soulseek. :) |

It's just that soulseek is specific to electronic music and that in my opinion makes it more justifed than ICQ. |

Oh yeah, here's another idea: How about working out people's types (Old Daddy, newbie etc.) based out on a combination of points and time since they enrolled on the site? You could have some funny specific ones like "Still Alive?" for someone who has been on the site for years but only has a few points, Or, "Crazy Kid" for people like Nacmat who haven't been here long, but have millions of points! NB: That's not a knock at Nacmat, I think he's cool, I was just using him as an example. :) |

I hadn't thought of that, good point as this is such a big fan site and Warp etc. might get annoyed. Although It doesn't alter what you've said I only said this from a point of being able to live chat with other .nu users and listen to their music, rather than file sharing of copyrighted material, but I see your POV. phob, while we have ur attention... someone suggested this a while ago, i dont know if u saw it: an idea that you could 'flag' favourite topics, or something like that so that if the topic was a day old and slid back to 128, 2 pages away, it would be easier to find or perhaps a favourites section, or something like that.. |

You could put your Soulseek ID in the free text field.... Then it's kinda unofficial but still there... AudioGalaxy users can do likewise... |
