ABOUT FONAL
Fonal Records is a Finnish independent record label established by Sami Sänpäkkilä in 1995. There has been releases so far varying from ambient, experimental, naive pop to semi-acoustic psychedelic folk. We are currently based in Tampere, Finland.

Obviously I just copied that from their website because I would never write something like " We are currently based in Tampere, Finland."

oh right, note to self: be more useful in the future.
i recommend Lau Nau's album from last year. Kemialliset Ystavat's album Alkuharka is really good, but also really nutty.
Es is really really good too, and probably more accessible to people around here... their album Kaikkeuden kauneus ja käsittämättömyys on fonal is really good... sort of a cross between the more nutso lo-fi stuff on Fonal and Sigur Ros... but they also put out this really really nice album on Kra-a-ak recently... it's called Sateenkaarisuudelma

he never even heard one of their releases - it's just because it's a label; it must be good if it's a label

Drunken is almost right. I haven't had the opportunity to listen. I got interested in the label because of Boomkat's "people who bought XXX(my order) also bought xxx(some artists from Fonal). It's hard to find anything on slsk, and for some reason I can't listen to the Boomkat samples. Topics like this, where I just ask for info about an artist/label is considered useless to Drunken, but when people like DeadEight gives a serious answer, I'm feeling happy. And after I have read some of the descriptions at Boomkat, I'm gonna take a chance and order some. The Kaikkeuden Kauneus-album sounds like my thing.

what browser are you using? if you're using firefox and you know you have both flash and adblock, try disabling the adblock and try listening to the samples.. if it works then, you should uninstall adblock and get adblock plus.. normal adblock was discontinued or something and someone made a new one that doesn't conflict with flash.
anyway, the kaikkeuden kauneus thingie sounds great!

www.fonal.com there's bunch of mp3's there too, under the "record shop button"
excellent label, i recommend islaja, paavoharju, risto, kemialliset ystävät, es, kiila...
the cd's come in beatiful packaging - no plastic, just smooth cardboard and beatiful images.
paavoharju is strange very beatiful music mp3
islaja is a girl singing dreamlike songs and playing out of tune guitar and everything cool, very good mp1 - mp2
shogun kunitoki is cool organ kraut rock mp3
risto is an excellent pop rock band with great lyrics, in finnish though
mp3
kemialliset ystävät is strange music, some might find it irritating, some like it very much, i like it! mp3
also the rest are worth checking out. so check it out!

and.. the least you could've done in the initial post was link them on boomkat! It's really very easy, and with some good attitude like that, you may get some proper replies.
