i was listening to a recording of l. ron telling all of
this deary sciefi nonsense that is the core of the
scientology belief and i figured that must be it:
he just must have thought "this whole christian belief might
as well be just thought up, why not let people believe the
scifi stories i wrote?"
i think this is pretty evil of the guy and it is not
surprising people think scientology is a scheme to get money
of good people
fun scientology fact: isaac "chef" hayes is a happy
scientology believer
anyway: pretty good theory of me right? :)

I'm always surprised that "good people" fall for this
religion.

besides - it isn't more strange than any other religion,
really, storywise I mean.

myea i know what you mean but i respect the bible somewhat
more than the scientology stories (which you have to pay big
bugs for to hear)

really it is that remark you made that had me thinking what
i wrote: what you said + no moral standards (or l ron was
crazy) -> founding of scientology
i read on wiki, some part about criticism, l ron was heard
saying "he wanted to begin a religion" (here
(starting a religion for money))

(those people keeping up the main page on schientology
must be going crazy from the scientology editors btw)

Watch the recent South Park episode with Tom Cruise, it has
a clear explination of scientology!

it's briljant
it's the one with the dc10s right? that's so funny, the
disclaimer "this is what scientologists actually believe"
somewhere on wiki discussion about scientology there's a
claim matt and tray must have read that wiki page that
explains it as well

i think the reason why people fall for it is because they
start off saying things that seem more plausible to an
average person, then you pay more and more money to take
their tests and stuff, then after years and tons of money,
you start finding out about the aliens and by that point,
you want to believe it.

Tom Cruises isn't letting his girlfriend Katie Holmes make a
noise whilst giving birth as it's against Scientology
protocol.

If you understand how all religions/mythologies are the same
and differ then it isn't that hard to re-intellectualize the
spiritual process. Just take a decade of your a life and
start a cult. The amazing thing is that this cult
specializes in obtaining celebrities. If you believe in
esoteric conspiracies it's easy to understand this as the
easiest way to keep highest-middle class in check from
disturbing the machine's present discourse.
So watch more television, hippy.

it is pretty hard to find a semi-objective site on
scientology as scientology spends a lot of time and money
closing down any site that has the slightest hint of
criticism on there.
