The history of (I guess, the styles of) IDM in a 1-2 hr
track list!
I will try to put one together later (though I am not sure
about a lot of early stuff) but I'd like to hear your guys'
ideas. I am thinking about using this idea for a show I am
getting on my school's station.: )

I don't know if there is anything out there like this or how
well it would work.

Much thanks for all help.

You want to do the History of IDM, but "I am not sure
about a lot of early stuff
"....

THAT'S NOT GOING TO WORK!

Actually, I know a lot of it, it just the stuff I am least
sure of, so I would have to double check.

I'm just kidding. Let's all learn together, I think this is
a grand idea!

IDM burns bright like a flame, then it dies. You don't hold
on to the moment with IDM. You let it go, like a ball of
light. Like a fog of sound. Like the rain in june, falling.
IDM is. IDM was. IDM be.

God, it really won't work. It's like doing a history of
Aphex, how are you going to get from Ageispolis to Mt. Saint
Michel???? lol

Shit, this is really hard. There are so many (like >50%)
wierd albums that are completely unrelated to any general
trends that there is no real way to categorize it all.

I divided the history up into 5 parts, but I have a lot of
trouble categorizing newer stuff. Hindsight is 20/20 or
whatever. It feels hard to make it not entirely centered
around warp, as well.

I guess I am going to have to go with the set of
"accessible"(aka happy) IDM as my first set, but I will keep
working on this, despite how it may turn out(hell, no one in
western PA will know the difference).

I will share it when its done!
