Well, I am pretty sure most musicians here saw this comming.
Analogue VST plugin
It looks like its a VST plugin that uses the vst format to send its data straight out to the synth. Altho the audio signal is sent back to the computer through the analogue ins and not the usb cable.
Specs -Hardware external analog box -Uses two audio board inputs and midi in/out -Two oscillators: analog waveforms, digital waveforms -Two filters: analog 24dB LP, digital multimode -Frequency modulation -Modulation matrix -Hardware pre-filter and post-filter insert paths

No. Analogue does not mean only analogue signal path. Analogue = voltage controlled oscilators (or voltage controlled filters in some cases). You can have a digital source convert the incomming data so the analogue components understand it.

Yeah, this synth looks pretty cool. I love the concept of users being able to design custom VST(i) interfaces to control the hardware.

I am hoping sometime native instruments get really into the hardware integration, and develope an analogue signal generator to work in conjunction with reaktor. That would be tight.

Nah, Feck that. Looks Rubbish. The VSTi interface looks complicated and boring, and it's not going to sound noticably different from any other pro standard VST. I don't get it really - who's gonna buy this? Someone with more means than discernment as they say I reckon. Stick with the Audiorealism BassLine Pro. It's bukka.....

I don't have a preference of either, but the digital ones tend to play it more nice that its dusty counterpart (those that are emulated). As an example, my Polysix sound like a beast compared to the one in the Legacy package.

Alright, that interface doesn't look that complicated, but it does look shit. And yeah, there's loads of difference between analogue synths and VST's. Obviously, they're much better sounding. But this thing's not really analogue. Not like a Korg MS-20 or whatever. I'm telling you, it's gonna sound like any other multi oscillator VSTi. They're alright, but all have that same-ish sound. Sorry about the "pro-standard" remark, not trying to be patronising. Anyway, I still reckon it'll be shit.

Even most of the new digitally controlled VCOs sound better than most DCOs and twice as better as most virtual DCOs. They sound rounder and more elastic. Most DCOs that are modeled after VCOs end up sounding plasticy. Most virtual DCOs end up sounding too thin. Altho you can get an extremely substancial and rich sound using FM, which (given that you are using the right soundcard) even with a computer can make sound comparable to any analogue synthesizer.
VCO = Voltage Controlled Oscilator DCO = Digitally Controlled Oscilator

But this thing's not really analogue.
I didn't notice this untill just now. Your wrong, it is really analogue. Its got a VCO and a DCO and a VCF and a DCF.
By that logic, a minimoog isn't analogue, and an arp axxe isn't analogue and a yamaha cs80 isn't analogue. I think you are thinking of it not being modular.

You can still hear the difference between an analogue, digital and virtual instrument after its output has been converted to mp3.
Anyways, I am glad to see more people joining up that keep with the tradition of trolling. I would hate to see this site with some people who are actually interested in its target content.

No examples. I don't feel comfortable showing people my music. I just wanted to spread the news to people, and wish that people would show a little bit more of an open mind, and actually bother to do some research on the things that they are hating on.
This site frustrates me. There are plenty of people here who are actually interested in music, but there are also a lot of people who just use it as an excuse to talk shit and act immature. The layout is nice, but I wish phobiazero would give the users more control over content. He is worried about people trolling and using things like an edit feature and user content controll to start fights, but the fact that he is restricting users in that way gives people more fuel to troll.

you're one of the xlt guys here who really seem to know their hardware, i'm just curious about your output. cause without "tracks" it comes down to technical talk and not actual music. in the long run it's kinda boring.
I don't feel comfortable showing people my music.
that's ok.
and if this site frustrates you, perhaps you 've been here for too long or expect too much of it ?
some people might love music, enjoy making it and fancy talking shit from time to time as well, have fun, what's wrong with that ?
no examples is ok , but do you actually enjoy making music or testing equipment ? that's two diferent things really.
perhaps i wrote too much here...

Its hard to explain. The act of making music has become so personal to me, and such a process of creation as opposed to a process of output. Here is the way I see it. If you make music to share with people, then you should really be writing music for your audience. If you make music for yourself, then it should stay with yourself.
Some of the best songs I have written lately haven't even been saved, just because I really enjoyed the process of making them, and felt that any further exploration into those songs at a later time would corrupt the feeling I had at the time.
My music has gotten so foreign to what I have ever heard (altho it closely resembles pieces of everything I have heard) that I doubt anybody but myself could understand it or consider it palatable. Altho if and when I decide to play live, then I would probly post some mp3's of that live show, because then it becomes something else (not personal, not for an audience, but improvised in front of an audience). That isn't permanent, just the way I need to work right now. It may sound wierd, but it makes sence to me and is what I feel comfortable with.
But your right about the second thing. I see some promise of a great community here, and its frustrating when you are trying to discuss things with people that actually care about music and having people just going "wow. That sounds stupid" without actually trying to participate in a discussion. I probly have been here too long.

to be honest, I think you're taking things too seriously. it doesn't matter if it's the best thing in the world or merely mediocre. people have different tastes and what you think is the greatest thing in the world, other might think is utter shit.
I've heard a loop of your stuff, and it wasn't enough to get me going. You go on and make numerous threads about gear and is, from what I can tell, very knowledgable about the stuff, but it's hard to relate to if you haven't got tracks to back it up with.
my suggestion is: be less self-judgemental, and don't take things so seriously. have a laugh

You seem to think its because I am worried that people are going to judge my music. Its not a matter of self confidence, I have plenty of that. I just don't see the validity in this whole "proof is in the pudding" argument that most of you guys seem to have, because I do know more than most people here about stuff like this. There are here who know as much as me, and more than me. But its what I like to talk about (I don't talk about this shit so that I seem like "I know more than other people" or anything. That kind of attitude is useless. I have other places to get attention from).
As with everything that is creative, its all about what inspires you. Some people get inspired by sharing music with other people. Like I said before, its not the output that I am concerned with. Its the creative process. That is why I make music. To make it, not to have an output. Its a form of meditation to me, and its private, and its not for anybody else, so please, stop egging me on for it, because I am not going to share it.
Anyways, reguardless of whether or not I take myself or things too seriously (my answer would be "I don't think I do" but then again I could be wrong and thats fine). Thats the way I see it.

I agree with you on this one, it doesn't matter how good / what kind of music you make if we just want to discuss gear.
I'll use that car-analogy again, lot's of people like talking about cars, but it doesn't have to mean that they're really good drivers though, they just like the cars and enjoy talking/reading about them (if that makes any sense?).
