uhm I think its pretty nice :) nothing really special tho.

But this was the track that I had the smallest excpectations
from..Im mostly looking forward to Herr Bar!!! if you read
the discription of the tracks from warprecords it goes like
this

"Lead track 'Herr Bar'is a taster of the new album showing a
deep and mature new sound and vision that puts Chris up
there with the cream of Warp's classic electronic music
producers."!!!!!!

Re Scar Kiln is strangley gentle and at hip hop speed..

whilst Urgent Jell Hack is a rave monster, a drum and bass
style bass destroyer

Frau Wav on the other hand has an incredibly catchy wonky
plastic disco style to it (didnt sound too promising).

Dusk Swells finishes everything off with an dusty etheral
atmospheric comedown. This is Mr Clark on top form.

Do you know who writes all those crappy press releases for
warp? He's called Tom, he know's shit all about describing
music. He bigs up everything to such a silly state you are
bound to be dissapointed. I dj now and then and get his
daft Illusions sent to me. Anyway... The Chris Clark thing
would sound great loud. Judge it for yourself when it's
out.

Warp puposefully employ the old marketing trick again. I bet
that that track will be nothing like the rest of the album,
or EP for that matter, if it follows in the vein of other
Chris Clark work.

The latter half of the song is probably more like the style.
I mean, i think he might experiment on an EP, some of the
stuff off Ceramics...was no where near the style or quality
of Empty the Bones of You. But yeah, regarding the track,
strong start then kind of teters off.

I'm sceptical about seeing him live, last time i saw him
live it was pretty awful. Has anyone else had this
experience?

im not saying it sounds like analord, but it's quite weird
he comes up with something like this after the analord
release, considering he was heavy on dsp fcukery since the
start..

Was that last years? I didn't go :(

Glade was too full of alluminated dickheads dancing to Goa,
Hyper-Dub, Trance, Hard House, Psychedlic Trance and the
offbeat skater kids shouting stupid shit the whole time.

Although, i did have a wicked time, in the first year.

I've always enjoyed him live, not always particularly fluid
or 'live' for that matter but good tunes and his stuff
sounds good really loud. This is always a hot topic for
debate, lots of people think he's crap live.

Warp seems to always pick my least favorite track from
releases for promotion (like Fermium on Untilted) so I am
looking forward to this :)

yeah, it was last year, and i know what you mean about the
trancy people... but there was an special tent for
braindance and, althought there was some annoying shouters,
i really enjoyed the events.
