Take a listen to this commercial! The music is by AFX for
sure, but which one is it? It seems a new one...

I watched this the other day and I wonder if Aphex got
involved in this at all..

caustic window style, it's a pretty old track imo. it's
similiar to something on 26 mixes for cash but it seems an
unreleased track.

cazzo
it seems an afx track for sure

i can't recognize a similar track, but i would say it sounds
in a "polygon window" way

then i searched it around the web

It's AFX - .1993841 in a slightly changed way if I'm
correct.

I would say that it's more similar to the Falling Free
remix.

perhaps its an alternate version, or maybe they hired some
guy to recreate it somehow, cause RDJ wouldn't let them use
the original.

definately sounds like some sort of rip off.

Mmmmh...................

I'm checking.... I'm sure I listened to this one.. I
remember there was like a voice in the background in this
track, but seems like the spot hasn't got it.

Nothing Followups to vlari?

Well, he's right, the track is:

[2003] 26 Mixes For Cash [WARPCD102] - Disc 2

---> Curve - Falling Free (Aphex Twin Remix)

Cheers!

Come on, the track practically is the same, like I said
seems like there isn't that voice that says something like:

"Ooooo uuuu aaaaaaaa....aaaa...."

You're probably right guys, I listened to them both very
carefully now. I'd have to agree with vlari then:

maybe they hired some guy to recreate it somehow, cause
RDJ wouldn't let them use the original.

because his music is as good as richard d. james music...
and it's pretty impossible imo.

it's an unreleased track by AFX.

'The music is by AFX for sure'

your confidence in that this is afx is kinda annoying..
it could easily, i mean, REally easily, just be someone
ripping him off.

oyvinto

he's underground man, he has no phones, no contact with the
outside world, lives in a bank..

actually, he reminds me of willy wonka, with those little
postal guys running around giving people his releases.

what did you guys think of the new(ish) film?.. i thought it
was alright, the songs sucked.. total lack of venetian
snares.

Probably they wanted to use the original AFX track, got no
reply from him, so they recreated something a bit similar
without completely (though pretty much nearly) ripping it
off. But you can tell it's not actually RDJ from the sounds
used.

It's just a rearranged version of the falling free track.
Mercedes did the same with Windowlicker.

im so sick of commercials remixing tracks to avoid licencing
issues. lots of great rock songs have been remixed to sell
tampons lately here and its driving me nuts.

i can't tell whats the deals with this, defininatly aphexs
instruments or samples from fallen tree have been used
though. no doubt.

i think we're missing the point here though guys:

it sounds fucking dope!
