After years being drukq's #1 fan, i realized that the last
minute of this track have a great physical effect when
listened with headphones! So i wanted to warn you of this,
wich is another reason that make drukqs a great album.

Its like opening and closing the ears very fast. Someone
could post a .gif to illlustrate this.

I nearly fell over.

Yeah, that's a fairly serious tune, but what gets me more is
that part around 7.20 in Ziggomatic 17 when you can hear the
'drum machine' switching off and those beautiful melodies
take over.

track.

all aphex is good at 120db in personal headphones. it will
destroy your hearing within a week, but its worth it.

In Buzz, it's pretty (very) easy to achieve using just a
Rhythm Gate. Not sure what it's called on other software
though.

i like mt. saint michel, but the last minute or so of 54
cymru beats is still one of my favorite riffs in aphex music
ever.

can't believe you've only just discovered this after being
the number 1 fan of drukqs for years. i'm really
disappointed in you, stefano.

but yeah, it has a strange effect on me, it often makes my
vision go blurry and my eyes water badly.

im ashamed of all those people who considered themselves
"idm"ers, but had yet to listen to drukqs on huge unsightly
headphones that cost more than the mp3 player you play them
on.

im not ashamed or disapointed and dont consider myself a
"lower" fan. i guess some of you wouldnt admit that didnt
know an old new in music.

but idm is cool because we never "get" the hole track at
once... it take a few listens to find some secret beats and
tunes. drukqs is music wich i try to guess what will come
next and always a have some surprise. its great when we cant
memorize music, thats why i love untilted, by the way.

nothing that i have heard _Yet_ has touched what drukqs has
accomplished.

still remains my top album.

Sennheiser HD-25s, silent room, night time, black out
curtains drawn, sat in a leather "mastermind" style chair
the first time I heard this. Bloody intense.

drukqs is also one of my favourite ever records (along with
skip spence oar), the Alarm Will Sound perform Aphex Twin
classical modern compositions with 28+ innovative musicians
just goes to show the depth of that music

best thing that ever happened to music.

at the lakker bday party a month or two ago, downstairs in
frazers on oconnell st, they played 54 cymru beats with
ALLLLL of the madness at the end. twas mad. really expected
them to mix something else in towards the end but no, they
went all out. savage.
