does that mean God is present in the brothels of the Bronx
and the casinos of Las Vegas? Suddenly this Christian God is
seeming more appealing..

I worship the sun for being the source powering all life on
this planet.

Religion is IMHO something for people who are kinda lost.
They need something to hold on to, to give them direction.
As in catholic religion for example, people go to the church
every sunday for instructions / directions how to live their
lives.
Heaven is for people who are afraid to die... It's like
being lost in the middle of a desert and promising yourself
there is an oasis just past the horizon.

Religion gives people courage to go on, a goal in their
lives, something to live for. Therefore I think religion is
important for a lot of people. The only thing bothering me
about it is friction between different religions of
non-religious groups.

Give respect, get it back.

mostly agnostic, with a little acosmic pantheism, and
unorthodox christianity. i was raised lutheran, came down
with atheism until i realized it was as untenable as
fundamental christianity, built a temple of agnosticism and
found hidden pockets of gnosis.
