KORE will revolutionize the way you produce and perform. As
the world’s first Universal Sound Platform, it integrates
all your software instruments and effects into a single,
unified interface. KORE gives you total control of your
sound and instant, hands-on access with a real analog feel.

wow.....Amazing

I'm looking forward to getting some more in-depth

yeah, this could def. be the shit. I was just recently
discussing how Native Instruments should release their own
sequencer. Considering they have some of the best
instruments out there, its surprising they hadnt created an
environment for them yet.

Now its on!

Wait. This isnt quite a sequencer as much as its more a
virtual rack of sorts. Looks like they took a nod from
Reason's Combinator.

it's like...a host you have to use in your host....jaj
they should've made it a dsp card. and gave it more knobs.
that would've made it more interesting.

Doesn't appear to be many controls.

it expands on forever and ever. they were just arty and
faded the rest out.

so basically its a little box to run loads of shit off?
sounds amazing. i wonder if h2o can crack that bad boy.

Its not just a midi controller as far as I can tell. Its
kind of the same thing as those creamware synthesizers,
where its a hardware interface and host for their
proprietary software. I hope at least. If its something that
you need the computer running to use, that would make me
very unhappy.

If native instruments released something like receptor for
their own instruments, that would be beautiful.

the thing is that it's not a receptor kind of thing as far
as I can see.
it's more a fancy way of managing your presets and stuff.

Someone on kvr started the thread off with 'NATIVE
INSTRUMENTS SEQUNCER' i was deply disapointed finding out
it wasn't, then again.. when i look at how unstable and
recourceful their reaktor package is it's not so bad.

stilaktive
Are you joking?.. those guys worked for fucking months and
months on making a dongle that emulated the license for SX3,
they will do just about anything to stay on the top.

isnieZot
Hey, if it's useful, and it's free.. why not. (p.s. don't
correct me, you know what ima' talkin' bout')

gl0tch
Just read your post. I bet they have one in production, and
when they release it you'll need a super amazing computer to
withstand it's stupid requirements.

All they need to build is a hardware shell for absynth and
kontakt with a decent sized lcd screen, and they could
totally kill everybody in the hardware game. Litterally.
Roland would be smeared all over the sidewalk.

It's a dongle.

That Open Synth Neko is already kind of like that. It is
essentially an all-in-one windows computer built into a
keyboard workstation. Seems convenient for workstation
users who aren't as into modules, chains and midi mapping
but just want one device they use but also want the
flexibility and open options of a computer.

Of course with that you could have all the virtual modules
you wanted without taking up the space of a hardware rig.

a topic about that very thing

yeah excub i was taking the piss willy.

obviously some dude in korea can't crack hardware.

saying that though i got cracked SX3. but it sucks/not much
different/quite buggy. so i stuck to my legit sx 2

True.

But I still can't open up and make music with software
musicmakers and feel like I didn't just fuck a 50 year old
whore. It feels cheap for some reason. I guess people use
what they feel comfortable with, and the idea of having a
dedicated hardware interface for software synthesizers seems
to make sense to me. The neko and meko seem to work, as they
are a dedicated music making computer that has all its
components arranged to make musicmaking as conductive as
possible. But in the end, I like making music with different
modular components. Last night I recorded a loop of me
plugging and unplugging cables from my patchbay through a
distortion pedal into my quadraverb gt. I took that look and
processed/recorded that into the sampler of my kaos pad, and
then relooped that back into my quadraverb. It was
practically just playing with feedback, but it was still
more fun than anything I can remember making in reason.

yea! I mean I've done that too. We had one track where I
programmed out some patterns on an old Yamaha RY30 and then
did multiple routes out to my synths vocoder, my friends
triton and then a bunch of guitar pedals and each of three
of us did modulations to the feed we were getting and
recorded that to Cubase. Then we switched, did it a few
times more then that was what we used as source to arrange
the song, which of course then we used VSTs to fill out what
was there.

I am just all about options myself. If I had more money I
would definetly get an opensynth, but I wouldn't want it to
be my only piece of gear.

looks also like they are aiming for the performers for
laptop shows and stuff

is it software/hardwares fault if its options are wide open
and you still make unoriginal and shit music?

KNOBS, HEY, KNOBS, YOOOOOOOOOO YO YO YO YO

So, it looks like a vst hardware host and (very limited)
midi controller, with built in presets for NI softsynths and
anything else is just speculation at this stage, then?
Hardly revolutionary, is it?

I'll see if I can get a test unit for BIYC Records.

Yes, even though it's essentially a PC in a box with a midi
controller with fewer knobs than a stadium full of eunuchs,
I'm sure it'll improve my music 100%. If you could get a
second one for me, I'd be much obliged. Feel free to pay for
it with my advance for royalties from the BIYC Limited
Edition DVD-R. Cheers.
