billy west's forum
"HERE'S GREAT NEWS!
Here's the official word on Futurama!!
David X. phoned me about an hour ago and said that this
Futurama project
is a done deal! Here's the word from DX---
There are 4 DVD movies that we'll start recording at the end
of July or
August.Full feature length FUTURAMA movies.
Everybody is excited to get back together--as I am!

Into the Future,
Billy"

unless you dunno
billy west is the guy who does like half of futurama's
voices
david x cohen is executive producer
and four furama movies is great news!!

let us futurama fans hope it all comes true : )

one futurama movie. it could be good or it could be bad.

one good one in there.

that works out at 22 episodes, which is basically a season
(though a bit more). very good news to me.

You'll have to excuse my friend.
He's a little slow.
But he's really harmless.
Just dont touch his ears. He has a thing about that.

whered ya get 22 from?

4 films, each being 110 mins (standard) x 4 = 440mins,
divided by 20 min (a standard episode) is 22 episodes,
therefore it's basically a season.

The average length for an animated feature is under 90
minutes.

yeah. like when billy west said 'Full feature length
FUTURAMA movies'.. thatd be great, but you gotta remember
this is from the guy whos making a tv show about himself
called Billy Bastard :)

22 episodes would be fucking fantastic though. All I can
expect from this is 4 plots, and maybe 8 sub-plots at best.

Dolleater
which would still make sence since some seasons on futurama
have only 12/15 episodes.

thats fantastic news.
futurama should never have been cancelled.

yeah. espicially when youve got the simpsons with like
apperantly heaps of seasons and a movie to go, and it turned
into an awful show ages ago.
im still happy about this. i cant wait to see what a movie
of futurama would be like (with futarama people saying a
movie is a good idea because theyll be stuff they couldnt
fit in an episode)..
plus, id love to see some new futurama again

Great news, thanks pigster. Futurama may work exceptionally
well as a full-length.

As much as I dont want to, I have to agree with you about
the Simpsons turning in to an awful show. Though every time
I hear it, it somehow feels like blasphemy. I still cant
believe The Critic is gone, I was watching it last night and
it felt like I was watching a pre-cursor to Family Guy. So
many great shows have come and gone and yet theyre not going
to let the simpsons die with dignity, by the time the movies
come and it hits its last season, the show is going to have
run completely stale.

Dolleater

No, you don't stand corrected numb nuts, you have mis
calculated your first predictions, and i was correct in the
first place.

You'll have to pardon my incompetence. While I was doing
more important things like taking a dump, I couldnt find the
time to reference my vast library of Futurama DVDs for the
number of shows in a season. You NO nut fucking geek.

offline exsub from United Kingdom on 2006-01-21 10:34 [#01823798]

Dolleater

case closed, i was correct in the first place.

Look, i'll show you my post once again.

4 films, each being 110 mins (standard) x 4 = 440mins,
divided by 20 min (a standard episode) is 22 episodes,
therefore it's basically a season.

This means that since some films ( as you pointed out, being
90min ) and the episodes sometimes stop at 12/15 on the
futurama seasons, it works out about right.

Hold on let me check my my data analyzer. Oh, it says your
first post was incorrect and that you're a hopeless dumbass.
But awards you the second post given youre adept knowledge
of retarded shit. Score one for the geek I guess.
