even though kevin smith has become a cash hungry whore,
here's a link to the new clerks movie trailer, which looks
like it might be pretty funny.

i don't know, why does there have to be a sequel or trilogy
for every single movie? it really cheapens the originals.
does he need another house or something?

Kevin Smith's core audience is hardly the most sophisticated
in the world. Anyone who has watch the "an audience with"
DVD will know that. Why the hell shouldn't he make a bawdy
remake if he wants? His fanbase will be wooping all the way
to the cinema.

i've never understood how some people keep claiming sequels
cheapen originals... they're separate movies, why would it
matter at all?

understandably they're not the most sophisticated films, but
i watched and enjoyed them through high school, so i'll
check it out. i was originally disappointed upon hearing
about the sequel, but i'm actually looking forward to seeing
it now.

sorta like jay and silent bob strike back - it was dumb, but
if you had seen the previous four films, you got all the
inside jokes. damn you kevin smith!

I watched it last week with trepidation but when Among The
Living started up I was smiling already. Could be great,
could be weak, probably tarnish the original somewhat either
way, I'll still buy the dvd though, just cause Smith needs
the cash. Fat fuck.

Clerks and Mall Rats are two of my all time favorite
movies.
better than Episode III even. Better than Indiana Jones
even. Better than The Goonies even.

i like kevin smith - i'm not sure if i'll shell out money to
go see a sequel though. i think the first film stands well
on its own.

i watched clerks for the first time a few months ago, felt
it was mostly a bunch of inane chatter

i like the the fact that the actors are so obviously reading
their lines of inane chatter in most of the scenes. i think
it's quite charming.

not sure. i was kind of annoyed at it all. but i still
watched it all the way through. like a car wreck with
dialogue, maybe.

'jay and silent bob' was one of the all time worst movies
ever made. will ferral was the only good actor but was
pulled down quite a bit from everyone else. the worst part
was the character silent bob overdoing the stupid silent
gimmick and making these... bizarre and unfitting facial
expressions the whole time as if to make up for his silence.
you can see him doing one in the cover picture of the movie.

I totally agree...that movie was so bad.

As for Clerks 2....I just feel that he must be kinda
desperate to have made this....
I may go see it, but I am not sure....
IMO he seems to have hit the bottom of the barrel with
writing this. The first Clerks was such a classic and could
never be even competed with. He should have just let classic
be classic instead of releasing a second one....
