That was the first thing I thought too.

Is this the first sign that Rephlex is going to call it a
day? Let the rife speculation commence!

Did they ever release anything received as a demo anyway
though, all their releases are their mates, already
established acts, re-releases, ummm, and that's about it.

They're succumbing to the might of BAM IN YOUR CUNT Records.

BIYC has acquired the rights to the Flux Capacitor and will
soon be traveling back in time to accept demos in the past.

thanks, Doc.

Can BIYC buy up the old Rephlex PO Box address and then
harvest the 1,000,0000,000 demos it must receive everyday
from Antwerp alone.

Warp have stopped accepting demos too. Lets face it, they
probably had a chute going from their inbox to a landfill
site or recycling plant.

Not from a demo though? They were already an established
band causing good vibes in the underground... or
something... weren't they?

See, I gave my demo directly to RDJ at dinner last night. He
told me I'd be better off with BIYC. And him being who he
is, I had to believe him.

You know what, the "women" in your attached image with the
statement of 'baby girl' on her t shirt is actually totally
true.

She looks like a huge over-grown baby with a big dyper, the
propertions match up completely...

rephlex isn't closing its doors! i think they find all their
music thru friends etc not from demos. The current roster
alone is enough to keep them going for a few more years.
Plus consider the outstanding re-releases they continue to
put out (bbc radiophonic, black devil etc) they are going to
be around for a long time

:P You see.

I read once Dicky D James said he had a BOC tape and he
thought it was good, but forgot about it. How different
history could've been. With Rephlex's red hot turnaround on
getting discs out, we'd be looking forward to Geogaddi being
released sometime next year.

see here 2006 minus 1992) 14 years has rephlex accepted
demos :)

rephlex.com archive

From late 2003, back when they were still selling shirts:

demos:
*we receive many dozens of demos every week, perhaps dozens
every day! but on average we only release one record each
month. so please cooperate:
*if you don't follow these instructions then we know you're
not properly down with braindance! but if you do help us
listen to demos by complying with these guidelines, we will
inevitably give your demo priority:-
*Send us your best stuff, the kind of thing you think we can
release, we listen to alot of music so think before you send
stuff, is it up to standard? Is it original? Does it fir in
with the Rephlex roster?
*please send us your demos for review on minidisc or cd. (we
prefer minidiscs because we can listen to them most
easily.)
*it is essential that you put your contact details on the
disc itself (not on the case or in a letter).
*a 3-5 word description of what we can expect to hear would
help us listen to your submission more effectively.
*due to limited time and resources, we instantly discard
packaging and accompanying letters and then rarely bother
with material that is not labeled on-body with contact
details - so save trees!
*cassettes, dat tapes are NOT really wanted unless it's all
you can manage.
*MP3's and website links are NOT wanted under any
circumstances.
*we do not have the resources to return demos - sorry.
*don't be disheartened if you don't hear back from us.
generally, you will only hear from us if we want to release
your tracks soon or if we think that we know someone who
might release them. Please remember we're very busy running
a label and listening to demos is not the number one
priority.
*in return for our precious time, we reserve the right to
subscribe your email address to our occasional electronic
mail-outs...etc
*thanks for keeping us entertained with the sounds from your
world.
