culinary hypothesis

Has anyone ever wondered about the following culinary
phenomenon? A little explanation maybe required for the
non-English readers. A delicacy exists in the U.K. known as
Ham and Egg pie. This dish consists of a pasty encrusted ham
pie with a boiled egg magically embedded within. How on
earth does the egg get past the pastry and meat outer casing
without causing damage?

Hypothesis 1
A chicken is placed inside a time machine, the time machine
is different to most as it is constructed entirely from ham.
The porcine time travelling devise is encased in pastry,
when the machine is activated the chicken travels back
through time until it is an egg once more.

Hypothesis 2
Paul Newman (in the film Cool Hand Luke) is fed all fifty
boiled eggs. He is then diced into fifty pie-sized segments,
each of which is encased in pastry, to form a Ham and Egg
pie. This hypothesis could be null and void, as I’m
positive more than fifty such pies have existed in the
world. However there could be a foie gras style farm in
France were thousands of Paul Newmans are being force fed
boiled eggs against their will in order for them to be
transformed into pies. I’ll inform Amnesty International
immediately.

dear mr. fox,

yes, i have long wondered this. i did a little research and
it turns out that it is the paul newman farms. they have
genetically engineered thousands of paul newmans to harvest
the eggs for ham and egg pies. tragically, much of the
leftover paul newman goes to waste, as there is little
demand for his hide or flank.

also, it is likely that the paul newmans are treated cruelly
at the farms, as they sometimes stuff three into one cage
and use hormones to make their meat more tender. however,
there is currently no law in france that prohibits this
treatment of paul newmans.

I propose they use redrums instead.

Hi

I would like to try one of these pies. Would you serve me
one on a plate of gold and top it with a Chrisp $100 bill
for garnish?

This sounds quite delightful.

The major failing of tis theorum is that Paul Newman's meat
is more comparable to pheasant or similar game birds, rather
than pork.
