ouija board and "doug"

apparently there is a 23 year old spirit named Doug Falix
who has been with me since I was first born. He thinks I
should go to Boston University because he thinks my current
school isn't very good and knows I'm quite unhappy there.

Now I've been reading about what skeptics have to say about
ouija boards and that the messages are my own, subliminally.
However, I specifically remember "Doug" revealing things
about me that know one understood but me...but I wasn't
looking at the board as he was spelling.

He seemed like a good guy, he actually had some
wit...overall I'm scared and impressed.

Have you tried to know who the hell Doug was when alive?

That would be my first step in order to get an idea of the
value of his recomendations...

Not all things you meet on the ouija were alive.

Well he said he lived in Freeport and went to Boston
University and died of sun stroke at a beach at the age of
23 and that he began following me in 1986...that took a
while to say

I'm going to look into it and see if anyone named "Doug
Falix" lived in Freeport

take what doug says with a grain of salt.

i've given up on the ouija board, i never get anything but
fleeting, ambiguous responses or gibberish.

when i was in college, someone told a friend of mine through
the board that he would die of cancer at age 30, but we've
lost contact and he has a very common name, so i've never
heard if the prediction came true. in any event, all future
predictions, i think, are derived from probabilities and are
by no means certain.

is falix a surname? has he confirmed the spelling more than
once? is that the name he used when he was alive?

we of the living have many questions!

no records in the social security death index. no records
linked to freeport with that name. of course, there are
many blind spots when you go back 20 years.

I'm not sure of the spelling, I just talked to one of my
friends who was also there and they said it was spelt
"fallox"

hanal: everyone was reading it, so that's how I know what he
said

As I see it, the ouija board can be one of two things: it
could be "spirits" or it could be your own subconscious, or
collective subconsciouses, either of which is very
interesting, considering the result.

My ouija board guessed the middle name of someone that no
one knew who was running the thing. She knocked the board
over as it was heading right for the last letter.
The spirit or whatever was named 'Atny' and was apparently a
slave who lived in Mississippi or something like that.

I wouldn't be surprised though if someone was moving it the
whole time. For some reason I really doubt the validity of
what was said by a 'mystical' device made by Milton
Bradley.

doesn't it take a lot of time to receive messages letter by
letter? you have to be patient...

reminds me of this man who was almost entirely paralysed
except one eyelid... people were recitating the alphabet to
him (not in the A B C order though, it was going from the
most common letter to the rarest (starting by E, then S,
etc)), and he was blinking at the right letter to
communicate...
