electronic music is heavenly

After being in California for a week and being subjected to
nothing but rock music (as I accidently replaced the defult
play list on the ipod with an almost-empty one off another
pc) I cannot express how God-sent even Richard Devine's
material sounded when I got back here.

I just felt a need to say this, as there has been some
negative attitudes towards the genre as of late. Try
listening to Californian rock music for as week, constantly.
When you return to Ae, Aphex, and all the other
computer-music-folk, you'll realise how unique and enjoyable
this music is. I think.

Nothing compares to a pounding 808 and some nasty arppegio
basslines, mmmmmm.

Electronic music is more than just an aesthetic lilstening
experience, but it stimulates the mind also.

I appreciate electronic music 20x more after I listen to
rock for a while. It does wear down after a while, so I
occasionally need to listen to rock for a while to fully
appreciate electronic music again.

"Electronic music and rock goes hand in hand for me"
> i agree about that. some "hybrids", like Underworld, or
some tracks by Air (The Vagabond, for example), are
really great. : )

i enjoy both rock and electronic music, with a preference
for rock (now if you mean "idm" instead of "electronic
music", there is even no comparison possible; it would be
like comparing a house to a city).

there are "hybrids" around, and theyre usually quite good.
Daft Punk are another (on their latest effort at least).

*sorry, i meant a village to a city
not a house. (that would be exaggerating...)
