Festival rights for Aphex Twin music

Hi,

I'm new to this board and was wondering if anyone knew the
best way to approach getting festival rights for Aphex Twin
music. I want to show my short film Washing Up Liturgy at a film
festival but I need to get festival (i.e. non-commercial)
rights to play its soundtrack - the 1 minute track 'i' from
'Selected Ambient Works 85-92'. I've written, phoned and
generally nagged Warp Records but they don't even seem
bothered to say no! Any ideas? Does Richard D James have an
official address for fan mail?

Yeah, you might want Rephlex, seeing as he's not on Warp
anymore.

you've probably seen this since you've written and phoned
them, but just incase (from the faq on warp's site)

HOW DO I GO ABOUT LICENSING WARP MUSIC FOR FILMS AND TV?

Warp actively encourages the creative use of its music in
Television, Film and commercials. However, please be aware
that NO Warp or Lex material is pre-cleared for use in any
media. Any license enquiries should be directed to Theo
Seffusatti at Warp Records. Theo is also the first point of
contact for all matters regarding the license of Warp or Lex
material for use on compilation albums.

Thanks. I assumed the album was on Warp, that's probably why
Theo Seffusatti didn't bother to return my calls.

peace

is R&S still functioning? The website seems quite old.

I liked the film. You know it might be easier to get someone
to knock up a similar track that you can have to the rights
to

hi yeah, i mailed Theo the licensing guy for Warp so i could
try and get the rights to Laughable Butane Bob for my
film/music video and i was told that, that track was not
available for license so i was out of luck there. pretty
much i just entered it in some things anyway.

i thought that R & S was defunct but i might be wrong. try
mailing them at rs@macbel.be , though the copyright on the
site that, that addy is from, is 1996 so whatever.
