Just a brief bulletin to whet the collective appetite. Seemingly years in the making (at least, i feel like i've aged years working on it...), THAC0 records ..1, a box set of music and art from from the internet fortress RHINOPLEX.ORG entitled "JAGOFF UPRISING", is nearly done. You may need to live in pittsburgh to get the title, our appologies to confused Belgians. In my thuroughly biased opinion, you should be creaming your jeans with anticipation. The box consists of not one, but two translucent orange twelve inch records, featuring original tracks from XANOPTICON, SHATTERBREAK, SILENI, DEV/NULL, DURAN DURAN DURAN, OVULUS, PROMETHEUS BURNING and SYNE LAPSE VARIATE. On top of that you'll get two CDs - one is a data CD featuring FOUR MP3 mixes from C64, plus bonus material from his toronto based drum & bass and breakcore labels - and the second is an audio MIX CD from yours truely (CUTUPS), mixing up my favorite new breakcore with material from the box set and other unreleased tracks. There's also going to be additional art in each box. Each box is being screen printed with an amazing, monstrous design from SILENI and will be part of a run of only 300. sweet jams on the mu board starkey seems to be trying to get bogdan out here sometime in the coming year...that would be SWEET im sure ill see posters / flyers if you come out - ill bring money this time so i can buy some of your merchandise and not just drink all my money! (bring me a copy of this box...that would be REAL sweet!) |
