basically ive had ableton running for ages on my laptop no
problems whatsover , and i just got one of those fuckin sony
mp3 things for xmas - i installed sonicstage3 instead of the
connect software bundled with it - heard its the biggest
disgrace ever - and now ive had two crashes in one
day.....could it have fucked up my laptop to such an extent
that other progs are affected? if i make a point of closing
everything but ableton when running it , i assume this will
help somewhat?? [of course all big apps are shutdown when i
use it usually , i mean all those little buggers that seem
to do nothing]

i reccomend uninstalling all of the sony crap, running
lavasoft adaware, and if that doesnt solve your problems
just reinstall your copy of windows sp2

and of course in the future always remember to never
install proprietary software by sony

does live just close with no warning?, ableton just recently
released a fix for that, get it, i doubt it has anything to
do with this stuff

many thanks guys, im going to run things as usual for a week
, then by then things will be crystal clear , if indeed sony
have ruined my music making i will sort out the sp2 method ,
cygnus is it as simple as just downloading it again and
installing??

sony deserve to die. did they not put that virus on a bunch
of new cds that came out?? what the hell are they the
technology gestapo or something..... scum!

he's suggesting that you format your penis. i don't know
what this means, exactly, but i think it has something to do
with his avatar.

hahaha+!

acid_ uninstall all the sony stuff and run Lavasoft Ad-aware
to get rid of anything left behind, if the problem persists
format your laptop and then use Windows Media Player v.10 to
transfer music to your mp3 player rather than the Sonicstage
shite Sony gave you.

SonicStage 3.3 is pretty good. The package as a whole is
finally coming of age v1 was so bad it deserved every bit of
shit thrown at it, newer ones have a bit of an undeserved
rep although they could cause conflicts with other
applications (I don't use Ableton but I don't have any
issues with any packages I do use.)

Ignore Delerious Weasel too...everything he wrote is
bullshit.

you might want to also put it up for sale on ebay - start at
$1 as no one wants a laptop that's been fucked in the arse
by Sony. Then give me the link. Then with the money you've
raised from it buy a new one.
