My favorite poem

M from Fraggle Rock on 2001-05-31 08:09 [#00007616]

I found it in a book of poems written by kids. This was by a
preschool girl.

"Worms stretch
Worms are so fat
Worms are mushy"

Simple, to the point, and so, so true. I think this poem
really gets into the essence of what worms really are, the
way they make you feel inside. Those crazy worms.

BTW, cheers that was cool.

When it rains, it seems like all the worms die on the
sidewalk. That makes me cry, the poor worms. I don't know
how the keep coming back. I suppose new ones migrate in from
places where it wasn't raining.

If you cut one in half, each segment still lives. But I'm
not in favor of hurting innocent animals. I tried cutting my
brother in half, but he just died. I was quite shocked as I
expected both halves to regrow and live as two new brothers.
I quickly burried him in our basement. I told my mom he's
sleeping at his friends house, but that will only work for
so long... What should I do? Do you have any suggestions,
because I'm not really interested in having the death
penalty inflicted on me! It was just my brother!

tell them
"a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do" and leave it at that.
i swear that will fix any problems

to an extent

this is ironic because yesterday i found out that worms
don't come up during rain because they're drowning.. they
come up because they can. they crave moisture and it's
harder to for them mate below the surface.
