I've never heard anybody talk about the following "bands":

Hive
Meatbeat Manifesto
Scorn

I like Meatbeat but they haven't been doing too much lately.
I never really liked much of Scorn. I didn't dislike 'em
but never got into them. I've heard almost nothing by hive
though.

luv meat beat always have plenty of time for their
stuff..their last album was great... Subliminal Sandwich the
double album version is excellent and stands upto any IDM I
reckon..eagerly waiting for the next..
Scorn..hmm got tired of em..Harris came up with a fantastic
sound nearly 10 years ago and then got stuck in a
rut..refused to evolve or develop..the remix album Elipsis
with remixes by MBM and autechre and Scanner etc though
brilliant ..just showed what Scorn was sorely lacking...

lets not:(
B3N scanner should be pretty cool live..I saw him live on
video:) all of his performance are pretty spontaneous..mixes
and creates music around what he happens to catch on his
scanners as he plays..his methods might have changed
though..

old Meat Beat Manifesto was groundbreaking, but some of the
production sounds dated now and people don't seem to get
it... thousands of producers have combined off-beat samples
with techno and hip hop elements the last 10 years since, as
well as hard metalish/hiphop hybrid. MBM never was into the
metal guitar thing.

newer Jack Dangers MBM stuff still shows he is an ace
producer, but the creativity is as nearly groundbreaking and
wild. he seems a bit too obssesed with dub at times.

Yup, ShortCircuit, I've heard a couple of their tracks on
compilation albums. It sounded really good. Apparently
they're a very prolific band, but I haven't heard from them
in a while.

And does anyone remember Jack Dangers' awesome scratching on
Public Enemies "Go Cat GO"? Subl. Sandwich is a kickass
album. As for scorn, Flea got it right.
