excuse me. i forgot this part...

Did you sign up only to spam?
That is not tolerated. We might even ban your account just
for the sake of it - and it's strictly forbidden to create
another account, so think twice before spamming around...

if you want to post here then fine. I wont ban you but this
is your warning

Just ban me. I didn't think posting a link to a pretty good
mix (IMHO) which is surely relevent to this forum was
considered spam.

I was wrong.

The people who discuss also about music can post their mixes
as well. Virginpusher just thought you signed up only to
spam.

sure we like eggs around here. but they better be ducks'
eggs or you'll be tarred and feathered...

xltronic is like a small village, ostensibly friendly but
deeply suspicious of outsiders. but it's the "traveling
salesman" that really sticks in the xltronicraw...

I didn't mean to cause this much trouble!!

I thought it would be a good introduction to what i'm
about.

I use Ableton live to make my own music which i feel i'm
getting better at and i also put together mixes of stuff i
think is good. I'm quite chuffed with the mix i posted. I
feel it has a nice flow about it and isn't only leftfield
stuff. I made a lot of effort to chop up the tunes so as to
make the flow right

I didn't mean to upset anyone which is why i was a bit
shocked to be told to piss off!

I'll hold tight on the link for a bit then.

Ash.

not really. We get accounts that just show up with a random
mix or a link to subpar music all the time. Most find it
stupid and the boss disapproves.

I personally think its rediculous to spam random winamp
playlists as a "mix"

I am sure it may have been done with the best of intentions
but i get rid of these all the time. All these accounts are
the same. Basic message copied and pasted (for quicker spam)
to various message boards often times resulting in failed
html tags.

I mean anytime actually put into this board and you cant
help notice the lazy_link button.

lol, its ok. I am not going to ban you. I wasnt expecting
you to stick around. Usually like i said in above posts.....
accounts will post these and just falter off not to be seen
again. They often times dont even respond to their own
threads. They just want to get their music out there and
heard by as many people as possible as a marketing tool.

Dont take us all that seriously! Especially me. Go ahead and
make your thread again if you want. I just figured you were
another one of those accounts.

:)

No one is angry. It keeps me on my toes ;P

It's useful when you must link a site for example:
www.xltronic.com

grow a li'l humor sac, pal. but let's face it, xltronic is
exceedingly unfriendly to many types of electronic music.
post a virginpusher trance mix if you don't believe me. not
that there's anything wrong with that. as i said, it's the
"traveling salesman" who passes through to "promote" stuff
that irks the most.

of course, in general people are given a fair welcome.

i didn't have any details about this guy's mix, it was
apparently immediately de-1337ed. anyway, there's too much
music already and in general you can't even give it away.

just kidding about the humor sac, btw. thy sac overfloweth.

I feel welcomed as i tread the blim burned, beer stained red
carpet that is this forum!

Ash.

Gonna hold on the link as a good will gesture.

so many people are making music now so the only way to be
different is not to make music.

p.s. most of my stuff sucked

sucked to yourself too ?

i see.

but how about : making music for your own pleasure first of
all, just for the love of making music. it sometimes works.
