Watched it last night, a great little movie. Giamatti never more watchable and Thomas Hayden Church was awesome (dude), Spidey 3 will benefit greatly with him as Sandman. End was a bit Good Will Hunting but the laughs made up for any familiarity. Garden State tonight now, whoo.

"sideways" is great
"garden state" is also good, but if you thought the ending of "sideways" was a bit too soppy, "garden state" is worse.
it becomes a conventional coming-of-age movie towards the end, which is a bit disappointing.
and let's face it - Natalie Portman isn't all that.

you might like "Napoleon Dynamite", if you haven't seen it already.
tonight I think I might watch "The brothers Grimm" and the "Wallace & Gromit" feature.

Yeh I can see Garden State being a bit weepy, and Portman's actually one of my least favourite actors (ever since 'Heat') but Braff is great so I'll stomach it. Napoleon Dynamite looks a bit too purposefully kooky for me but I daresay I'll see it at some point. Let us know how Grimm is, it had a slating in the press unfortunately.

"garden state" is pretty great and not really that touchy-feely, until the end. it didn't ruin it for me, but it was kind of an "oh well"-moment.
"Napoleon" is kooky, but it doesn't really feel like it when you're watching it. it's one of those films in which nothing much happens but you're kind of okay with that.
yeah "Grimm" got pounded here too - we'll see. I love most of Gilliam's work, so I'm guessing it'll be okay.
