I searched and found nothing, so here it is: the Common appreaciation thread! A tribute to one of the most consistently pleasing artists in Hip-Hop! Release upon release and he doesn't cease to produce lyrics for the mind and beats for the soul. Common is appreciated. One Day It'll All Make Sense on the table now! |

Common is great. One of the only hiphop artists I want to actively listen to these days. Apart from his occassionally bland lyrical content (mostly in the past) it is hard to think of anyone who matches the consistency. Appreciated indeed. |

yeah, it's kind of like that with me too.. there are so few good new releases and for some reason, though I have lots of other quality hip-hop, Common is one of the things that I find is most frequently coming out of the speakers.. him and A Tribe Called Quest... It's just so relaxing or something... |

I'll tell you a story, actually--relating to this--from a guy who doesn't enjoy Common all that much usually: the only time I really liked Common was when I was stoned with my friend Katie and his song was on the radio, back in 1999 I guess that was, and it was just groovy to share that with her because she seemed to dig it and at least we both knew who he was. |
