do you know how to associate tracks to have album art...so
it shows up on you mp3 player? just curious. i noticed only
a few of my files have actual images associated with them

Um, no.

I don't think ID3 has such a capability.. If you're talking
about iTunes, which is what I use, you need to edit the
ID3s, add the tracks, and then select all the tracks and add
the artwork.

I think iTunes stores the artwork in one of its own folders,
and links the mp3s to the artwork in its XML mp3 database.

I think the images are embedded in the id3. Cause the
pictures follow the files to whatever computer I copy them
to.

true that - now that i think of it, there've been times when
i've added albums and their artwork is, indeed, embedded and
appears automatically - regardless of a JPG's absence in the
album directory.

hmmm.

ok, i just checked out itunes and i notice you just drag the
jpg into the art window and all is good. i'm gonna try that
on the id3 program. i know its anal, but i like to have
stuff like that included with the tracks
