been playing guitar once again, now on a daily basis. i forgot how much i missed it, and apparently i'm better than i think i was. i strung my grandfather's electric-acoustic a while back and had to play it for at least an hour before i put it back down. I also had to restring my electric guitar a couple of weeks ago, and i found myself having to play it for at least an hour afterwards. I also had to dust off the pickups and guards. I need to get the knobs looked at. I also need th nut repaired - it's so worn down that the buzzing sometimes drowns out the sound. i mean, that's fine for heavy stuff but it makes the lower strings too dominant.
goddamn, i'm chatty today. excuse me.

ive been playing today, i play all the time! can you put some lighter strings on perhaps to make it less bass-y? i use 12s on accoustic but have it downtuned and play with a capo. and 8s on electric, but i aint touched that for yonks.

yes i usually tune mine down to D. i also have a tuning where i drop low E down to C and A down to G, but everything else stays in standard. it's what most newer rock bands use, but i like it because you can make interesting chords very easily.
i'm also using a digitech rp7 effects valve/processor right now. i have a setting with chorus effects, spring reverb and occasionally some grunge distortion for a good old 80s new wave/ Big Country sound.

No it still works great. I'm just very clumsy and irreverent to it so the finish gets fucked all the time.
I've just made a broader guitar thread inspired by this one, hope you dont mind sir!
