i actually managed to use the word untilted in a different, non-Autechre context. i was trying an A-level geology test paper, with a question involving quarrying in beds that were overturned. I needed to describe flat horizontal beds and I used the term "untilted beds". i was so chuffed! |

man, is it so wrong to like something dearly? :) i didn't care much aboout autechre in the past, infact there's very little pre-untilted stuff that i liked (well, little compared to how much they released). but untilted is something else! |

I agree Untilted sounds like its title (horizontal and/or rectangular), in fact I think it's deliberately a reflection of the production techniques. They've mentioned in interviews how it felt different this time, and it sounds like it. I love it. |
