What people used to use to make music before software came
along.

Used to make all those squelchy sounds on all your analord
12"s.

easy. Now I am depressed.

A lot of the analogue clones that have gone out of
production are worth about the same, like the Futureretro
777.

Altho for the same effect as the tb303, you can get a
novation bass station for about $300

HAH! true :)

But thats what people would be willing to pay. I still
fantasize about finding one in a pawn shop for about $100
and then reselling it for $1000 on ebay and buying something
decent.

this is not the first time you are shocked by my
ignorance... by now you should know that yes, I am a big
ignorant about music (and many other things)

but now I know... its never late to learn I guess

deffos. i guess you're just one of those "i hear something
and if i like it i like it, if not i don't" people.

which is fine.. but with art, there's so much to find out
and learn about, about why certain things are pleasing.. and
through this acquisition of knowledge comes additional
pleasure when the art is re-experienced :)

i would say, however, that this applies more to music and
harmonic theory than learning what a 303 is, for example..

but knowledge of the machines electronica musicians use is
the groundwork for appreciating the techniques they use.

the more you know about an art or a technic, the more you
can enjoy it, thats true

but I am not against knowledge, dont be confused... I try to
learn all the time, I just admitt it when I am ignorant
about something.
