Right I get internets at home I get on slsk, nothing works apart from chatting KEEP READING i forward the ports on my modem, and on my router. Now the soulseek site says "yes you've forwarded the ports, everything should work fine". Now i can browse users' files. I cannot, however download their files. What should I do? |

Try changing to: 80, 8080, 1080, 20 or 21 and see if that works if not then try http tunneling maybe your ISP is blocking . |

the browsing is fine man, that was all fixed once i got hte ports fowarded... it's downloading that's the problem - and i've tried it from many people.. all the same. Initialising -> Failed |

my router changed my ip adress, so it was configured wrong, but it meant that slsk said the port wasnt op though |

maybe you should run a firewall? with that you can monitor what goes in and out, and there is the possibility that the ports are open, but they are being used by some spyware-ish program since they are open.. if you have a firewall, you can restrict the usage of ports to certain programs... I'm running slsk with a firewall and it works perfectly... |
