I believe the new version of sonar is supposed to be very nice. A friend of mine uses it, but only to do drums for his metal.

my mate uses it together with Reason. he says it's a very good setup - and almost convinced me to try it. why not.

I use Cakewalk Sonar3. I've tried Logic and Cubase, too, and they're great....
But there's something about Sonar's interface that I just love, and it has many advanced features just like Logic and Cubase. I'd highly recommend it; it's easy to use, powerful, and the producer edition comes with some great plugins.
