Crying all alone on the bedroom floor cuz he's hungry
And the only way to feed him is ta
Sleep wit' a man for a little bit of money
And his daddy's gone
So we're smokin' rock now
In and out of lock down
I ain't gotta job now
So for you this is just a good time
But for me this is what I call life.

Yes, I think so. I think I always felt a bit of resentment
towards the singer of the song, rather than pity. If I was
forking out my hard earned cash for "just a good time",
that's all I'd want to get; Not her life's (sob) story.
